Welcome to the AOM Lab Team, Dr. Fabio Roselet!
29 January 2019
The AOM Lab is delighted to welcome Dr. Fabio Roselet from Brazil. Fabio is here as a visiting postdoctoral fellow from the Brazilian Federal Agency for Support and Evaluation of Graduate Education (CAPES/Brazil). His collaboration focusses on evaluating different flotation techniques (DAF, DiAF, Foam Fractionation) for marine microalgae harvesting and the effects of AOM.
Fabio obtained his Ph.D. degree in Aquaculture from the Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG, Brazil) in 2015 with an internship period at the Catholic University of Leuven (KU Leuven, Belgium) in 2013-2014. His research centers in marine microalgae biomass production at outdoor pilot scale (up to 1,600 L), focusing on flocculation with natural and synthetic polymers. He also develops studies about the safety of this flocculated biomass as aquafeeds, and development of low cost data acquisition systems using Arduino. In addition to his research work, he is also a lecturer and supervisor at the Aquaculture Postgraduate Program at FURG and referee for several journals, including Water Research, Algal Research and Biomass & Bioenergy.
