Rafael Paulino
Rafael joined the AOM Lab group in 2019 as a PhD student. After his Bachelor in Civil Engineering at UFRN ( Brazil), Rafael completed his Master of Applied Science at the University of British Columbia (Canada) working with the development and application of artificial neural networks for modelling of treatment and distribution of drinking water.
His PhD project relates to the optimisation of drinking water treatment strategies in the presence of nuisance and harmful algae, with a focus on the combination of pre-oxidation and biological activated carbon and, possibly, modelling of these processes.
